Today in Star Seven we were learning about Anzac Day. We went and had a look at the memorial statue at the front of our school. Here is a picture of the class in front of the statue. There are also two fabulous stories I have typed up. Please read and comment on Caridy and Harriet's stories.
Today room seven went outside to look at the memorial. We looked at the statue because it is almost Anzac Day and to remember the people that died. You don't have to wear a poppy but some people do. Room seven watched a clip of Anzac Day. When we were outside room seven got a photo with the soldier. Then we went back to class. The soldier had a gun in his hand.
Today at school we went out the gate to the memorial. We took a photo. Then we went back inside and watched a tape. It was all about Anzac Day. We went to the memorial because we were talking about people who died in the war. It was sad in the war. I felt sad. The poppies are reminding us about the soldiers. Some of the soldiers survived.

Last Friday we were very lucky to have Emily helping Juniors in our discovery learning time. Our theme last week was music. Emily taught three children how to make their very first I-Movie! The project was for her Digi key. The Digi key is based around using technology in everyday life. Ben was very lucky to be one of three children selected. Have a look at his super-hero I-Movie. I was very impressed. I know you will be too!

We have been learning to put describing words in our story. Zoe wrote a fantastic recount of our discovery time. Please take the time to read and comment on her story below.
At discovery time room 6 and room 7 went to room 8. It was fun. I played with Ivanah. We made a rain stick. I decorated it with fluffy stuff and ribbon. It was a very long rain stick. I can look through it like a microscope. I did the straw (Oboe). It sounded funny. I like that sound.
